Loadscan Customers Keep Coming Back

Earlier this year, Patrick and Brad from our sales team delivered a brand-new Loadscan unit to Rodney Aggregates Supplies, a quarry in New Zealand, for their annual overburden stripping contract with Terry Edwards Plant Hire. Remarkably, this marks the third year running that Loadscan has supplied a scanner for this contract, reflecting the reliability and accuracy of our quarry load measurement solutions.

The Loadscan unit allows both companies to accurately track the quantity of overburden hauled each day to the disposal site located across the road from the quarry. Additionally, haul back material is measured and removed from the daily tally, ensuring that all movements are precisely accounted for.

Managing Tack Clay Material

Due to the tacky clay material being carted, the contractor, Edwards Plant Hire, relies on the scanner to manage the haul back efficiently. When the haul back builds up to over 1.5 cubic meters, the team scrapes it out with an excavator. This process not only improves efficiency but also ensures accurate load reporting on a daily basis.

By implementing Loadscan, both Rodney Aggregates and Terry Edwards Plant Hire can now prevent discrepancies, reduce material waste, and maintain transparent reporting for their contracts. The real-time load data provided by the scanner allows operations staff to make informed decisions on the spot.

Benefits of Loadscan Quarry Load Measurement

Using Loadscan for quarry load measurement offers multiple benefits:

  • Accurate measurement of overburden and haul back

  • Efficient material tracking for daily operations

  • Real-time reporting for immediate operational decisions

  • Reduced disputes and errors in load accounting

  • Optimized material management across the quarry site

Therefore, Loadscan continues to be the trusted choice for quarries that demand reliable truck load measurement and transparent reporting. Whether it’s for overburden stripping, haul back management, or routine material tracking, our solutions ensure accurate results every time.
