There’s been a lot of hype recently around the issue of speed in volumetric load scanning. Some suppliers love to show trucks moving rapidly under their scanners, often backed up by sped-up footage that looks slick on a website. The implied promise is simple: faster must be better.
If the quantity of steam is enough to significantly disturb visibility of the load surface then a “visual pollution” error will be reported and no measure computed. This can generally be resolved by waiting a couple of minutes for the steam to settle and then proceeding with re-scanning.
