The LVS is an optical system and so can be affected by high levels of visual “pollution” in the air. The system may not be able to operate under the following conditions: heavy dust, dense fog, severe storm conditions, snowing. In these cases the system is designed to report a “Visual Pollution” error rather than give poor results. Note that normal levels of rain are not a problem.
