Loadscan recently achieved full ISO 9001 certification after a rigorous audit of its business processes and systems.

ISO 9001 is the world’s most recognised quality management standard, with over a million registered organisations worldwide, in over 170 countries.

Loadscan CEO, Carey West says, “When we decided to implement ISO 9001 our goal was to be more efficient in our internal processes, and to ensure consistent quality in the manufacture and supply of our load volume scanners and software services”.

When the company started preparing for accreditation they realised that many of the systems and processes were already in place and being followed. This made completion of the preparation phase much easier and accelerated the accreditation process.

“We knew we had a robust quality system in place, but some of our key customers, especially in the mining industry, require suppliers to be officially ISO accredited. With the ISO process we now have an internationally recognised system that will drive our continuous improvement process across all business units”, Carey adds.

ISO 9001 accreditation was awarded to Loadscan’s New Zealand head office, as well as to their Australian branch. A new branch office planned for the USA will also apply for ISO accreditation in due course.
