ISO 9001 Certification for Loadscan: Driving Quality and Continuous Improvement

Loadscan recently achieved ISO 9001 certification, following a rigorous audit of its business processes and systems. ISO 9001 is the world’s most recognised quality management standard, with over a million registered organisations across more than 170 countries.

CEO Carey West explains, “Our goal in implementing ISO 9001 was to improve efficiency in internal processes and ensure consistent quality in the manufacture and supply of our load volume scanners and software services.”

Preparation and Accreditation

When preparing for certification, Loadscan discovered that many of its quality systems and processes were already in place. This streamlined the preparation phase and accelerated the overall accreditation process.

“Although we had a robust quality system, many of our key customers—especially in the mining industry—require suppliers to be officially ISO accredited,” Carey adds. “ISO 9001 provides an internationally recognised system that drives continuous improvement across all business units.”

Global Recognition and Branch Accreditation

ISO 9001 accreditation was awarded to Loadscan’s New Zealand head office as well as its Australian branch. Furthermore, the company’s planned USA branch will also apply for ISO accreditation in due course. This global recognition reinforces Loadscan’s commitment to quality, efficiency, and consistent operational processes.

Benefits for Customers and Operations

By achieving ISO 9001 certification, Loadscan strengthens customer confidence, particularly in industries like mining where supplier quality requirements are strict. Additionally, the certification ensures that production, software services, and internal processes continue to follow internationally recognised quality standards.

This achievement positions Loadscan as a reliable partner for customers worldwide and highlights the company’s commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
