The Loadscan portable LVS was selected by NAC. The portable system is ideal for long-term truck measurement projects where there may be the need to move the load scanning location.
On such a large project, the Loadscan LVS ensured accuracy of billing for Beach Contractors and also helped compliance with the fill volumes permitted in the resource consent.

60 m³ x 6 day week = 360 m³ of export equates to approx. 16 truckloads at a 22m³ per load factor not being carted resulting in a big reduction in ‘lost cubic meters’.
Banholzer knew they wanted a load volume scanner (LVS) from Loadscan over the decade as they needed to report volume and truck numbers.
Overall the return on investment has been extremely quick, within the first full month after installation the LVS has paid for itself.
With the Loadscan solar system in operation the mine site did not need to trench power cables out to the scanner or need to run a generator every day where maintenance and constant refueling would have become expensive and unreliable.
